To Avignon aboard Anjodi - A New Itinerary

From Marseillan to Avignon on the Canal du Midi and River Rhone, this new itinerary (28th October only)  is a dream come true for foodies, historians and nature lovers alike.

Oyster farms, Muscat Tasting and the incredibly colourful wildlife of the Camargue National park, where it’s more than likely you’ll spot a flock of pink flamingos or wild white horses charging across wide open expanses, as we cruise gently by.

A number of waterfowl can be found in northern Italy's Po Delta, including the fabulous flamingo

If Muscat isn’t your thing then there’s a marvellous Mediterranean beach within walking distance from where we moor on Monday afternoon, or the following day you can stroll about the parapet of the beautiful walled town of Aigues Mortes, admiring the sunset from spectacular heights!

Our visit to Arles will have any aesthete enraptured; it was the inspiration for over 300 of Van Gogh’s paintings, and with the 1st Century Roman Arena and St Trophime’s Basilica, it’s difficult not to be! The old Camargue capital is a stunning cornucopia of architecture and incredible Mediterranean cuisine.

And there’s wine, of course. On Friday, following an exquisite lunch, we’ve arranged a tour of the world renowned Chateau Neuf du Papes commune, accompanied by a private tasting with one of the region’s most prestigious wine makers. After the tour and tasting its back to the barge for one final balmy evening of cocktails and the Captain’s farewell dinner; if this floats your boat, then why not check out the full itinerary.
