Growing up next door to each other on the banks of the River Thames was what first sold us both on the unique experiences that we knew that rivers and canals could bring. From this we decided we should share our passion with the world but in an intimate and bespoke way: exploring the path less travelled with small numbers of like-minded travellers. Five decades have passed since we began that journey and today, we proudly operate the largest fleet of luxury hotel barges in Europe.

Now supported by a dedicated professional team, our passion remains undiminished and our mission unchanged: to immerse our guests in the art of slow travel. In today’s world, our focus on small groups, private excursions, and insider experiences is more relevant than ever.
