Honeymoon Cruises on Hotel Barge Nymphea in the Loire Valley

Nymphea cruising on the River Loire in the Loire Valley

A honeymoon is a time when so many treasured memories are created. Something romantic, magical and memorable.

What could be more romantic than sedately cruising through the Loire valley past vineyards and chateaux, enjoying each other’s company as you sip champagne and enjoy fine cuisine, while being doted on by an attentive crew. Take daily excursions to sights such as the Chateau de Chenonceau in the Loire Valley, where the romantic history of Henri II comes to life.

In 1547 Henry II gave Chenonceau to his mistress, Diane de Poitiers. For a time she was virtually Queen of France, infuriating Henri’s wife Catherine de Medici. Diane was accused of using her magic to preserve her beauty and keep Henri’s attentions from waning. Nymphea is the only barge allowed to pass through the chateau’s famed arches.

Other highlights include a spectacular hot air balloon ride and dinner at a renowned Michelin starred restaurant ashore.
