A Holiday for Everyone

We know that planning a holiday that matches everyone’s preferences can be difficult, especially when there is a mixed group of different ages. So chartering a hotel barge may be just the thing as it offers so much flexibility and freedom. It is a voyage of fun and exploration.

A Crowd-Pleaser

When you charter one of our hotel barges – be it for a friends’ reunion, a special celebration, or just a precious family gathering – we can arrange tailored activities to please everyone, whatever their interests. Each cruise itinerary includes frequent stops and excursions to nearby attractions. Wine lovers will have the chance to visit renowned cellars for private tastings, while history buffs will love exploring medieval towns and imposing castles like Carcassonne and Windsor Castle. If you are looking to do some shopping there is plenty of choice, from upmarket shops in Dijon, to markets in places such as Narbonne selling wonderful local products.

And there are plenty of activities for the youngsters, such as cycling the towpath, visiting animal parks, taking a steam train ride, or even helping the Captain steer the barge!

Best of all, while the children are being amused by the crew, or enjoying a soak in the on-deck spa pool, parents and grandparents can relax as the world drifts by, perhaps with a glass of chilled champagne in hand.

A Home Away From Home

With accommodation for between just 6 and 20 passengers a hotel barge offers a much more intimate, ‘house party’ atmosphere than on larger cruise river and ocean cruise vessels, which is perfect for birthdays, reunions, and other celebrations. And with comfortable en suite cabins, a spacious deck and interior and bicycles to explore on, there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves.

The doting crew is always on hand to look after you and the onboard chef is there to prepare delicious gourmet meals for the grown-ups, or something simpler for the children if they prefer.

All in all, a hotel barge cruise will be an unforgettable experience for old and young alike.
