'Pick & Mix' Excursions

To introduce more families to the joys of hotel barge cruising, we’ve enhanced our family charters with a wider range of excursion options, allowing guests to “pick and mix” their daily tours and activities to meet the interest of every generation on board. These options feature theme parks, water parks and laser tag for children, as well as wine tastings, golf and other sports for adults.  There are also excursions to wildlife parks, archery lessons, swimming, tours of prehistoric caves, and canoeing that will appeal to the whole family.

A Little Something for Everyone

L’Art de Vivre

Something for the Children:  Families can visit Guédelon Castle, where a team of master craftsmen are building a castle from scratch using only the materials and construction techniques available during the Middle Ages.

Something for the Adults: Adults can savour a wine tasting excursion to the cellars of the prestigious Domaine Laroche and tour the 1000 years old Obédiencerie where the monks developed the craft of winemaking in the middle ages.

Nymphea

Something for the Children: Hopping in a canoe on the Charente river and exploring its forested banks and sandy reaches.

Something for the Adults: Visit the Château de Villandry, the last of the great Renaissance châteaux to be built on the banks of the Loire. This château is world-renowned for its amazing array of ornamental, water, vegetable and herb gardens.

Anjodi

Something for the Children: Kids can channel their inner Captain Jack at Pirateland, an amusement park, waterpark and mini golf course on Marseillan Plage

Something for the Adults: Fresh Oysters and White Wine on the beach
