ITINERARY*

If you are a family with children, we are able to create a bespoke itinerary and substitute a maximum of 4 excursions from our Classic Cruise Itinerary with your preferred family activities.

The following activities can usually be arranged on-board directly with the barge Captain and included in your itinerary without any extra charge (unless otherwise stated):

Venice Natural History Museum 

Museo di Storia Naturale di Venezia is a museum of natural history housed in Fondaco dei Turchi, located on the Grand Canal, Venice, Italy. Aside from a collection that spans an astonishing 700 million years, the museum also houses a library with more than 40,000 volumes. There will also be opportunity for a visit to the National Archaeological Museum of Adria.

Traditional Boat Ride in Chioggia

Hop aboard the shiny, red Bragozzo Ulisse, a traditional Italian fishing vessel, and enjoy a guided tour of the colourful port of Chioggia.

Valcorba Animal Park

A family friendly wildlife park, home to 70 different species, including monkeys, lions and tigers. (1/2 day)

Gardaland Amusement Park

Adjacent to Lake Garda, this is one of Italy’s premier theme parks and houses a wide range of rides suitable for all ages, as well as a sea life aquarium and numerous bars and restaurants. (1 day)

Swimming

There are swimming opportunities at the beautiful sandy beaches of Pellestrina or the Lido Islands, as well as a local indoor swimming pool if you’re not a fan of saltwater.

Cycling in Ferrara 

A lovely mixture of Renaissance architecture from the 15th and 16th centuries and undulating city parks, cycling opportunities in Ferrara abound.

Disney themed Opera (on board)

Should you wish, a magical Disney themed short evening opera can be organised aboard.
